Women in Florida test positive to Zika Virus

According to CNN three women have tested positive to the Zika virus after travelling outside the united states. The disease which is responsible for birth defects, is usually transmitted from a pregnant woman to her fetus. The disease causes birth defects such as microcephaly, a congenital condition associated with incomplete brain development. babies, which usually causes them to have smaller than normal sized heads  The location and identities of the women are being kept private due to privacy reasons. The Center for Disease control is recommending special precautions to be taken by pregnant women in order to avoid getting the disease especially when travelling outside the United States to countries where the disease is.



 Florida governor has reportedly ordered 250 antibody test for the states, he also declared a public health emergency in counties of the state that have had cases of the Zika virus, which so far is 11
